Taxstone locked up for Troy Ave shooting

The host of a hugely popular hip hop podcast has been arrested in relation to the 2016 shooting of a man at a T.I. concert. The New York Daily News, citing police sources, say that Taxstone aka Daryl Campbell, 31, has been under investigation “for months” prior to his January 16 arrest. In May 2016, gunfire erupted at Irving Plaza in New York City prior to a T.I. show. The attack killed Ronald McPhatter, bodyguard to Brooklyn rapper Troy Ave aka Roland Collins, 34. Ave was arrested after the shooting and is free on a $500,000 bond.

Taxstone will be arraigned on January 17.
